Composer

As creative endeavors go, composing brings the most reward to me personally. Most of it is for myself: either as 'therapy', or for my small circle of very capable musician-friends. I write a lot more music than gets performed, and usually have two or three available options for projects when i sit down.

But, occasionally, i am asked to put my abilities to use for a particular occasion: a wedding, or a funeral, or some other significant event that needs a certain 'something extra'. I work rather quickly, and have managed to get things from conception to first performance in the course of seven (7) days.

A composer's skill set can be used, also, for doing arrangements. It can be so simple as converting a piano piece to something for strings, or converting something for strings to a whole orchestra -- or the reverse. The possibilities are endless.
